Television: News or Propaganda

This unit is designed for use with students of Russian who have achieved an intermediate level of proficiency. It can also be adapted for individual study. Students studying without a teacher can check the answers to exercises in the answer section. The unit includes exercises focusing on acquiring and practicing vocabulary on the topic of mass media; discussion questions and assignments; an abridged interview with Russian journalist Vladimir Mukusev with glossed vocabulary. Following the article are comprehension and discussion questions, and vocabulary and grammar practice exercises.
