Plagiarism

This unit is designed for use with students of Russian who have achieved an intermediate level of proficiency. It can also be adapted for individual study. Students studying without a teacher can check the answers to exercises in the answer section. The unit includes exercises focusing on acquiring and practicing vocabulary on the topic of plagiarism; discussion questions and assignments; an abridged article from Russian Newsweek about plagiarism with glossed vocabulary. Following the article are comprehension assignments and questions, vocabulary practice exercise, role-play activities, and essay and presentation topics. A supplementary text about plagiarism on Russian television is also included in the unit.
